SEM/SEO Specialist
GHI Internet Services is looking for a self-motivated, entrepreneurial,
outgoing individual who has a minimum of 1 year working experience with
natural search engine optimization and / or pay-per-click management.
Description:
Full-time and / or part-time SEO Specialist who is looking to learn,
grow, and succeed in a fast-paced business environment. We are willing
to teach if you are willing to learn.
This position includes the following responsibilities:
- Manage projects from start to finish, with limited hand-holding.
- Conduct keyword research and selection for natural search engine
optimization and pay-per-click campaigns.
- Compose page titles, descriptions, and ad copy for natural search
engine listings and pay-per-click campaigns.
- Monitor campaign results, analyze key metrics, and optimize click-through
and conversion rates.
- Make written recommendations to clients.
- Generate and deliver performance reports to clients on an ongoing
basis.
- Manage day-to-day client relationships through face-to-face meetings,
frequent conference calls, and presentations.
- Manage client budgets to ensure proper allocation in accordance
with campaign contract terms and project goals.
Note: In this position you will both recommend strategies
and act upon them, including the sometimes-mundane side of the SEM business.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with interest or emphasis in communications, marketing,
advertising, or computer science
- Experience with keyword research, selection, and keyword research
tools
- A minimum of 1 year experience managing Pay-Per-Click campaigns
– knowledge of bid management tools is a plus
- General knowledge of Web site traffic analytics software (Webtrends,
Omniture, Coremetrics HitBox, etc.)
- Knowledgeable of natural SEO tactics and posses the desire to stay
on top of this ever-changing industry
Knowledge of Internet-based business and e-Commerce models
- Understanding of search engine-friendly Web site design and ability
to make critical design and technical recommendations to Web development
partners (note: actual programming and Web design experience is not
required
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple
simultaneous projects
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and desire to use it
